I still have my Black Rickebacker 325 I purchased from Mick Flynn at his store in west Seattle in 1983. I it sat in a case for about 12 years until I pulled it back out in the Summer of 2008. I stuck some Medium Flats (guages .13. .56) on it and it sounds like it does on many Beatles and CCR recordings (Fogerty used one too y’know!) Anyway thanks Mick for keeping the Faith all these years!

One of my favorite memories growing up in West Seattle… Used to ride my bike up to Mick’s store. In fact I had a chance to buy Nancy Wilsons, (Heart) little Les paul, (on the back of Little Queen album), but my dad talked mr out of it.. I still regret that today. Great times! Still wished he was there…

I used to go there to drool at the 58 V hanging on the wall and if I had a grand back then, I would of gladly relieved Mick of the burden of owning it ! Bought all my strings there and Mick was always cool to me. Then seeing ya at the Museum of Flight. I was just searching for images of 1958’s and I remember seeing the picture of Child and the 3 58’s onstage displayed in the shop. Great seeing this and it sure brings back great memories !
