Guitar Archeology

While this is not the most coveted Strat to have the seventies Strats are becoming a collector guitar non the less. At 30 years old this particular Strat is in wonderful condition with a thinner then many neck and a little bit of a V at the nut. One owner, comes with the ash tray and original case.

This is a pic of my first real guitar.  I was working at my Dad’s appliance store in Des Moines Washington in 1968, making $50 a week (plus room and board)   I was saving up my dollars hoping to buy a friends 1959 Les Paul Custom.  When, I almost had the money, they sold it… My heart was broken.  Then, I found this 1959 Gibson Les Paul Special at Kerns Music in Burien.   I went in and gave Gordy Kjelberg $175 for the guitar !!  Boy, those were the days.  Thanks Gordy !  I still have the guitar.

Here we have a 1998 Fender Stratocaster Eric Clapton Blackie! Broken in for your enjoyment. These have the thin finish on a sweet V neck that wears through easy, I sure like the V neck. Noiseless pickup, active electronics, a finish that shows wear but no danage. Really a GREAT player. Check it out;

We have a aquired a 1972 Guild F212 a real sweet sounding and playing 12 string. Brazilian Rosewood finger boardand original case! Very nice condition for 38 years years old, it really sings. Check it out here.

Minty Fresh Condition! What a beauty, not a flaw to be found. Comes with all the case candy and original tweed case including the Fender strap with locks. Medium chunky neck, smooth as silk. Mick has a great Jeff Beck Story maybe he’ll share it with us, it includes Rod Stewart of course. Anyways check out this guitar.

Someone find this car, I need a new ride!

In the late 1970s and early 1980s, as a columnist for The Seattle Times, I wrote numerous times about The Heats, a local rock band. Steve Pearson, now with British Racing Green, was an integral part of that fabulous group — a band that to me was like a reincarnation of the Beatles. The music magazine Goldmine would describe The Heats’ first album, “Have An Idea,” as “one of the Top-50 power-pop albums of all time.” Their live performances drew fanatic crowds. Eventually, The Heats broke up, but Steve Pearson never gave up on his love for music. He continues to play to this day, this time in British Racing Green, which also includes his wife, Lucette. I’ve had a chance to listen to their latest two recordings, which can be heard on their Web site, HTTP://www.myspace.com/stevepearsonandbritishracinggreen. “Goodbye Mr. Jefferson” and “Long Way To Heaven” continue the legacy from The Heats — catchy tunes with great harmonies. If you believe what the Beatles and the Everly Brothers stood for, you, too, will become a British Racing Green fan.
